Egburtus Bernardus Oost Also know as Albats, Bats, Batch, Bach, born in Hengelo, Netherlands, was a stonemason and farmer. He died of pneumonia. Bats came to America as a stowaway and a deserter from the Dutch Army. Bats and Louisa married May 26 1860 had 13 children and were charter members of the Glenville Baptist Church. Some of their children are buried at the Brushy Fork Cemetery
