He was born in Provo, Utah to Arnold C. "Jack" and Grace Arline Lewis Danner.

He married Betty Louise Anderson and she preceded him in death on June 9, 2004.

He retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service.

He is survived by four children: Carla Farley of Clinton, Utah; Jack Danner of New Castle, Indiana; Gary Danner of Orem, Utah; and Lisa Scott of Orem, Utah; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Olsen of Buckeye, Az.

He was preceded in death by his wife, and by his brothers, Donald and Richard Danner
