Mary Giles Whittier[sic] Vincent, 85, died Oct. 27, 1981 in the McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.
She was born June 18, 1896 in Milton Morgan Co. a daughter of William and Sarah Hogg Giles. She married Charles Brooks Whittier[sic] June 27, 1917 in the Salt Lake Temple and he died Oct. 10, 1928, she married Nephi Earl Vincent Dec. 25, 1954 in Morgan and he died in 1971. Graduated with the first graduating class of Morgan High School in 1915, lived in Morgan County until 1948, then moved to Salt Lake City, moving back to Morgan in 1972. She had been employed by Morgan School District as a cook and later as head of the school lunch for 15 years. Later worked at Excelcis Co. in Salt Lake. Active member of the LDS Church having held positions in Sunday School MIA and Relief Society. Past president of the YWMIA in MIlton Ward, member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survivors: 2 sons, Charles Eugene Whittier, Grants Pass, Ore; William Gerald Whittier, Morgan, Ut. One step-son and one step-daughter, Perry Vincent and Mrs. Tom (LaDean) Parker both of Salt Lake. 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 3 sisters; smith Giles, McCammon, Id.; Woodrow Giles; Mrs. Raymond (Ann) Larson and Mrs. Clyde (Fannie) Hodgson all of Morgan, Ut.; Mrs. William (Wilma) Carmack of Ogden, Ut.
