Kurt L. Rogers, 44, formerly of Fulton, died Thursday at Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton.
Mr. Rogers was a resident of Andrew Michaud Nursing Home since February 1987. Born in Fulton, Mr. Rogers lived in Moscow, Idaho, for 10 years before returning to Fulton last year.
Mr. Rogers taught at Fulton High School, Allendale Boys School, Rochester, and Warwick High School.
He edited bulletins for the Department of Agriculture at the University of Idaho. He was a member of the Paternity of the Prometus and was director of the public library in Moscow. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Unitarian Church, Moscow.
He was a 1961 graduate of Fulton High School and a graduate of the State College at Geneseo. He received his master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
Surviving are his mother, Pauline E. Rogers of Granby; a son, Johnathan of Moscow; a daughter, Emily E. Rogers of Moscow; three brothers, William of Granby, Vernon of Phoenix and Richard of Ovid; two sisters, Joan Tindall of Fostorio, Ohio, and Lois Davenport of Granby; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday in Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, the Rev. George A. Reed officating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander.
