Mrs. Maria E. Gorde, 70, wife of Christ Gorde, of 1803 Marquette, died Sunday at her home in Saginaw, after a lingering illness. Maria E. Eurich was born September 8 1874, in Russia, and came here six years ago from Silverwood. She was married in 1900, in Russia, to Mr. Gorde, Mrs. Gorde was a member of St, John's Lutheran church, Black and Elm. She leaves her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Zeman.of Toledo, Mrs. Leonard Miller, of Detroit, Mrs. A1ex Brinkman and Mrs. Jacob Schaich, of Saginaw; three sons, Charles Gorde, of Dearborn, DavidGorde, of Mt Clemens, and Henry Gorde, of Silverwood; 10 grandchildren and 2 groat-grandchildren.
The funeral will tako place at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Gugel funeral home and at2:00 at St. John's church with Rev, OscarG. Frcy officiating.Burial will be made in Rich cemetery, Lapeer county.
