Harold W. Epp, 83 years of age, of Beatrice passed away at the Good Samaritan Center in Beatrice Saturday morning, June 15, 2013. He was born on April 8, 1930 in Beatrice to Henry and Hedwig (Penner) Epp, and was a 1948 graduate of Beatrice High School. Harold and Marjorie Damrow were married on January 1, 1953 in Beatrice. They lived in Denver for 2 years while Harold participated in his 1W Service. They moved on a farm southwest of Beatrice in 1956 where he farmed, raised hogs, and had a dairy until 1988. Harold had a cow/calf herd until they moved into Beatrice in 1996. Harold was a member of the First Mennonite Church, R. Beatrice where he had held various offices (including Secretary of the church board) and served on various committees; was a former member of the Southeast Nebraska Coop Elevator Board, and had been a 4-H leader for 10 years. Harold enjoyed farming, raising livestock, playing cards, and being a windshield farmer after moving into Beatrice. He also enjoyed pulling family around in his pony cart and all the times his grandchildren and great grandchildren came to visit.

Survivors include his wife Marjorie; son William Alan Epp of Tecumseh; daughter Joyce Ann Hamm and husband Tim of Beatrice; 2 granddaughters Shila Hamm of Lake Havasau City, AZ and Damia Coy and friend Marcus Heller of Falls City; 4 great grandchildren Sean and Kirah Coy, Allena Hunnick and Pharlea Hamm; sister Betty Esau of Beatrice; brothers in law Franklin Damrow and wife Betty of Diller, and Thomas A. Damrow and wife Evelyn of San Antonia, TX; sisters in law Ruby Augustine of Lincoln, Kathryn Overbeck of Beatrice, and Esther Chermak of Beatrice; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Hedwig (Penner) Epp; step mother Helen (Penner) Epp; brothers in law Harvey Esau, Walter Lehmann, Web Augustine, Al Knispel, Charles Chermak, and Harlan Overbeck.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the First Mennonite Church, R. Beatrice with Reverend Brett Klingenberg officiating. Interment will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at the Mennonite Cemetery,
