E. Marvin Caudill, 76, 10050 County Highway 5, Carey, died at 10:54 a.m.
Saturday, July 23, 2005 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. He was
born Aug. 29, 1928 in Johnson County, Kentucky to James and Julia E. (Conley)
Caudill. He married Rose E. Higginbotham and they divorced. He married Mary E.
Hayman on Jan. 4, 1958.

He was survived by his wife, Mary, Carey; daughters, Billie Jean Winter, Port
Orchard, Wash.; Sharon A. (Branson "Bud") Miller, Upper Sandusky; sons, Robert
A. Clark, Carey; Danny E. (Sarah) Caudill, North Baltimore; M. Keith (Cherie)
Caudill, Sycamore; nine grandchildren, Greg Futrell, McCutchenville; Cassie
Carson, Robin Miller and Carl Miller, all of Upper Sandusky; Sara Caudill and
Ryan Caudill, both of Findlay; Jacob Caudill, North Baltimore; Tom Winter, Port
Orchard, Wash.; and Heather Prevatte, Plain, Wash.; five great-grandchildren;
sisters, Anita May, Upper Sandusky; Beulah P. Flemming, Sycamore; and brothers,
James J., Vanlue; Harold E., Sycamore; and Charles H., Carey. He was preceded in
death by daughter, Luana Farmer; brother, Earl; and sister, Emogene LeMaster.

Mr. Caudill retired after 23 years from the National Lime and Stone Company,
Carey. He owned and operated B & M Excavating for 12 years from 1971 to 1983. He
was a member of Community Christian Center, Upper Sandusky.

He was a life member of American Legion Post #344, Carey, VFW Post #3759, Carey;
and DAV Post #73, Wapakonata. He was also a member of Sager Lodge #513,
Lafayette; Valley of Toledo Scottish Rite, Zenobian Shrine Temple, Toledo;
Zenobia Shrine Findlay Clowns, Findlay; Tiffin Shrine Club, Tiffin; Wyandot
Country Shrine Club, Upper Sandusky; and charter member of the Shrine Legion of
Honor, Toledo. He was in the U.S. Navy for nine years and was a Korean War
veteran.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home,
Carey, with the Rev. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge
Cemetery, Sycamore, with full military graveside services. Visitation was 2 to 4
and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Masonic service was 8 p.m. Tuesday
at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Crippled Children Fund.
