DALE BENJAMIN LENZ
Dale was the son of Valentine Lenz and his first wife; Grace E. Mitchell. He was born in Duncan Township, Mercer County, Illinois. The youngest of three children. His older siblings included; Mary M & Floyd John Lenz.

His mother passed away just before Dale's first birthday. She appears in the June 1, 1900 census record with the family: Living Duncan, Mercer, Illinois, USA (Last name misspelled) Father Valentine Levy 28 Farmer, Mother Grace E Levy 23; sister Mary M Levy 3, brother John F Levy 1 & Dale Levy 2 months. Grace died just a few months later on Feb 5, 1901.

On December 24, 1901 Dale's father remarried to Eldora Mae Sedam and to this union was born eight sisters; Alice, Mildred, Irene, Edna, Nancy, Lois, Vera & Lois.

On May 11, 1921 Dale married Frances L. Sedam, daughter of Susan Mae (Dusenberry) and William A. Sedam. They were married in Aledo, Mercer County, Illinois.

The 1930 census records the couple living in Duncan Township where they are engaged in farming.
