C. B. Koepke, Druggist, Dies at Havre
Havre, March 6--Chris B. Koepke, 64, retired Havre druggist and resident of the city the past 40 years, died at a local hospital late Monday night.
He was born in Chicago, a son of Mrs. and Mrs. Ben Koepke. His mother died a year ago at the age of 95. His father's death was in 1930.
Koepke came to Havre in 1911 from Lewiston, Ida., and entered the drug business with Roy Fuller. After several moves the store was established in 1938 in its present location in the Masonic temple building where Koepke retired from business in 1945 after selling the store to Dave Stallcop.
Koepke married Stella Spooner in St. Mark's Episcopal church here in 1916. The widow, five sisters and a brother survive.
Koepke was a charter member and past president of the Rotary club, holding a record of having attended weekly meetings for more than 27 years without an absence.
Funeral services will be at St. Mark's Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
