Thomas B. "Tom" Morrissey Sr., 64, Myerstown, died Thursday, August 4, 2005 in his home. He was the husband of Mary R. Gish, married on February 28, 1970. He was born in Lebanon on December 12, 1940, a son of the late Gilbert T. and Bertha Witmeyer Morrissey. He was the owner/operator of the Tom B. Morrissey TV and Appliance of Reistville. He was a heart transplant candidate receiving his new heart October 1, 11 years ago, at Hershey Medical Center. He was a member of the Heidelberg Lion Club, having serving as president in 1982-1983 and 1993-1994. He received the Melvin Jones Award and held numerous offices in District 14-D with Youth, Leader Dog, Membership and was a Zone Chairman. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Thomas B. Morrissey, Jr., companion to Joya Tobias of Lebanon; daughter, Dr. Susan Morrissey-Robertson, spouse of Jeffrey Robertson of VA; daughter, Marsha Landis, spouse of Michael Landis of Cornwall; sister, Fleurette Kreiser, spouse of Richard Kreiser of Lebanon; sister, Kathryn Seyfert of Lebanon; brother, James Morrissey of Lebanon; brother, Joseph Morrissey of Lebanon; brother, Gilbert Morrissey, spouse of Marilyn Morrissey of Lebanon; brother, Richard Morrissey, spouse of Arlene Morrissey of VA; sister, Regina Morrissey of VA; sister, Patricia Kercher, spouse of Frederick Kercher of VA; sister, Jacqueline Hunt of VA; sister, Constance Squyars, spouse of Richard Squyars of VA; sister, Eileen Sant, spouse of Joseph Sant of IL; grandchild, Jared Landis of Cornwall; and grandchild, Emma Landis of Cornwall. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hogge. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, August 8, 2005 at Mary Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, Myerstown. Interment in Schaefferstown Cemetery.
