He worked at McCoy's Building Supply Center and was a farmer/rancher all his adult life. He was a member of Sts Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, member of K.J.T. #20 and Central Association of the Miraculous Medal (Promoter).

Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Edward, Edwin, Frank, John and Joe Novosad.

Burial at Shiner Catholic Cemetery.
