KATHLEEN M. "KITTY" RENSCH ROQUEPLOT SNIDER, 94, of Fayetteville went home to be with the Lord, April 30, 2010. Born June 11, 1915, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Elizabeth Bumbaugh Lady.


Kitty was employed first as a seamstress at the former Stanley Company, then as a billing clerk at the Chambersburg Hospital, and lastly as secretary for Pastor Dino Pedrone at the Open Door Church in Chambersburg before retiring. Over the years, she also owned and operated several businesses, including Kitty's Old Fashioned Bake Shop, Rensch's Grocery and a beauty salon. She was a member of the Open Door Church.


Kitty is survived by 3 sons; Conrad M. and wife, Patsy of Fayetteville, NC, Edward M. and wife, Pat of Chambersburg, and George E. and wife, Linda Rensch of Fayetteville, Pa., and one daughter, Saundra M. (wife of Rev. Richard Stoey) of Waterfalls, Pa.; 22 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward M. Rensch in 1955, her second husband, George Roqueplot in 1970, and her third husband, Stewart Snider in December 1988; 3 sons, Gene R. Rensch and twins, Richard I. and Robert L. Rensch; a sister a brother, 2 grandchildren and one great grandchild.


Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at The Open Door Church. Pastor Mike Sanders and her grandson, Rev. Richard Stoey will officiate. Interment will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
