Edward was the 5th of George and Theresia (nee Beyer/Beier) Brachmann's 15 children. He was born September 22, 1888 and baptized on the 30th of September, 1888 in St. Mary of Sorrows Catholic Church in Buffalo, NY.

He married Helen Pfeifer (perhaps Habor) on 20 August 1913 in St. Ann's Catholic Church in Buffalo.

Edward died August 12, 1953. He and his wife are buried together. Two of Edward's siblings and their spouses are buried in the lot with them as well.
