  Mrs. Martishia E. Sparks of 1709 North Main street died Tuesday at 4:50 a.m. at St. Joseph hospital in Alton.
  She was born Oct. 19, 1880, in Vandalia and had attained the age of 69 years and 11 months. She was the daughter of the late Ira and Mary Casey. She was married to Frank Goff, who preceded her in death. She later married Peter Sparks who preceded her in death in April, 1932.
  She is survived by three sons, Willard Goff of this city, Murle Goff of St. Louis and Clifford Goff of Alton, two daughters, Mrs. Jule Barth and Mrs. Fred Luebbert of this city, four sisters, Mrs. Minda Jones of Hillsboro, Mrs. Florence Munter of Urbana, Mrs. Bertha Savage of St. Genevieve, Mo., and Mrs. Hester [Tomlinson] of Coffeen. There also are 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two daughters preceded her in death.
  Friends may call at the Straube funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday until Thursday at 1:30 when the remains will be taken to the First Baptist church where services will be held at 2 o'clock with the Rev. L.C. Boergadine officiating.
  Interment will be in Sunset Hill cemetery.
