Johannes Hans Moyer was the oldest son of Hans Michael Moyer and wife Anna Maria (Knauss) Moyer of Oberhochstadt-Sudishe, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. In 1721 he married Maria Catharina (Stallman).

Johannes Hans Moyer arrived in Philadelphia in 1739 with wife Maria Catharina and children-
