Signa Ione Larrieu
Signa Ione Larrieu, 73 of Spring Valley, died Tuesday February 15, 2000 at Spring Valley Health Care Center. She was born March 25, 1926, a daughter of William and Ida Linneberg Larson in Cady Township, St. Croix County. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Spring Valley, where she had been a member most of her life. She was a member of St. Mathew's Lutheran Church, Spring Valley, for a number of years also.

She attended school at spring Valley. March 24, 1944, Signa married Ervin "Shorty" Larrieu at Spring Valley.

Signa helped Shorty haul milk for a few years after they were married. She also worked at Cady Cheese, and farmed. She worked for Herman Gilbertson at North Central Products for a couple of years, and worked at Spring Valley Health Care Center for 20 years before retiring. She enjoyed working in the Activity Department at Spring Valley Health Care Center, and won awards at Art Fairs for her creations.

Survivors include three sons, Duane (Judy) Larrieu of Spring Valley, Bill Larrieu of Durand, Tim (Claudette) Larrieu of St. Paul, MN; 2 daughters, Bonnoe (Gail) Mick of Elmwood Tina Cotts of Rice Lake; 1 sister, Elaine Noterman of Spring Valley; 12 grandchildren, Josh Larrieu, Shawn Larrieu, Nicky Thiry, Timmy Thiry, Jim Gilbertson, Lloyd Larrieu, Adam Larrieu, Nathan Larrieu, Jamie Larrieu, Michael Cotts, Amie Johnson and Sara Mark; 5 great-grandchildren, Trenton and Alexzandria Larrieu, Baily and Devon Johnson, and Zachary Gilbertson; 1 brother-in-law, Donnie (Renee) Larrieu of Spring Valley; a sister-in-law, Della Larson of Spring Valley; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2000 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Spring Valley. Rev. Reinhold Markwart officiated. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Valley. Arrangements by Keehr Funeral Home, Spring Valley.
