Oliver Schade was born May 29, 1929, in Sac Co., Iowa, to Alfred and Anna (Flesch) Schade. He graduated from Sac City High School in 1947. On March 23, 1948, he married Mardell Blum in Sac City. He was an interior painter by trade. He and wife Mardell moved from Sac City to Lake View in 1998. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Sac City VFW. Oliver Wayne Schade, age 72, of Lake View passed away March 28, 2002, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Survivors include his wife Mardell of Lake View; son James (Deborah) Schade of Evansville, Indiana; daughters, Sandra (Mrs. John) Lindberg of Sioux City, Iowa; and Susan (Mrs. Martin) Thelen of Breda, Iowa; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Virgil and Roy, and sister, Mary Jane. Memorial services were held at the United Church of Christ in Lake View on March 30, 2002, 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jerry Schultz officiating. His body was donated to the Osteopathic College in Des Moines, burial was at a later date in the Oakland Cemetery, Sac City.
