Beloved husband of the late Katherine (nee Layer). Father of Harry (Mary, nee Bowman), Arthur (Rose, nee Doran), Guy A. (Delores, nee Bettio), Catherine (Frank) Jonke, and Thomas J.; brother of Nellie Bartholomew and Minnie Smith; grandfather of 17. Last residence, 8589 Priem Drive, Strongsville, OH. Friends may call at The Jardine Funeral Home, 14701 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, O., From 2-5 And 7-10 P. M. Friday. Funeral mass was Saturday, March 15th at St. Joseph Church.

When you enter the cemetery off Miles Avenue, take the Main Drive all the way to South Drive. Follow South Drive to Section 90, where you will turn left. Follow it to a small grassy triangle (identified as Section 100) where you will see the "Four Evangelists Columbarium". Section 90 is across from it. Fred and his wife are 8 rows back from the roadway. They share a flush-to-the-ground, gray marble headstone.

Each side of the "Four Evangelists Columbarium" has a statue of the Saints Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Each side has the capacity to hold the cremains of ten persons. When full, it will hold forty cremains. It was built and installed about the year 2000. A picture of it is attached to the photo section of this site as a reference point to locate Fred and Katherine, whose gravestone is flush to the ground.
