Funeral services for Mrs. Anna K. Tjaden, 95, of Wall Lake, IA., were held Friday, March 5, 1982, at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Wall Lake with the Rev. Donald Gibson officiating. Mrs. Tjaden passed away March 2, 1982, at Twilight Acres Nursing Home in Wall Lake.
Music was by Dan Stock, soloist and Mrs. Marvin Arnold, accompanist. Mrs. Dorothy Willhoite and Mrs. Wilma Gosch were in charge of floral arrangements.
Pallbearers were Mark Brotherton, Dr. Eugene Ashbaugh, Robert Stehr, Donald Tjaden, Gary Zumach and Robert Tjaden. Interment was made at Wall Lake Cemetery, Wall Lake, under the direction of Farber & Otteman Funeral Home of Wall Lake.
Anna K. Tjaden was born February 14, 1887, at Herring, IA., the daughter of John Kaiser and Catherine Reifschmeider Kaiser. She married John Tjaden on October 8, 1907, at Herring, IA. They were the parents of a son and two daughters. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters: Miss Catherine Tjaden of Wall Lake, IA., and Dorothy (Mrs. Stan) Brotherton of Blue Earth, MN; a daughter-in- law, Mrs. Florence Tjaden Smith of Lake View, IA.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; son, Harold; one brother, John; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Kate.
