Archie Doyle Martin Sr., of Bullard, Texas was called to his eternal resting place on May 18, 2019. He was 78.

He was born December 17, 1940, to Archie Louanderson Martin and Bessie Mae Sellers in Baytown TX. Archie was a retired, Certified Welding Inspector, with 50 years in the construction industry. Formerly of Baytown, Archie's career took him to several places around the United States and overseas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 1304, Channelview, TX. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family meant the world to him. He was a prankster and loved to tell jokes. Archie will be best remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Archie will be missed by all who loved him.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Archie Doyle Martin Jr. and sister, Judy Martin.

Left to honor Archie's memory is his loving wife of 59 years, Jimmye M. Martin of Bullard TX; daughter, Lori D. Schuster and husband Michael of Midlothian, TX; twin sisters, Nyli Smith and Dyli Martin of Kountze; grandchildren, Heather Lopez and husband Joey, Laci Lightfoot and husband Jeromey, Krysti Harrison and husband James, Stefani Carney and husband Joe and Dr. Emily Burkhart; Great grandchildren, Elizabeth Lopez, Luke Lopez, Madison Tackett, Mason Tackett, Camille Carney, Jennifer Meese, Brianna Meese, Connor Lightfoot and Wyatt Burkhart; nephews, Josh Smith and David Smith; and a host of friends and family.

Archie's family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Faith and Family Funeral Services Inc. 40847 Hwy 105 East, Batson, TX. A graveside service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 1:00 P.M. at Guedry Cemetery in Batson with Pastor Tommy Thompson officiating.

Honoring Archie as pallbearers are Josh Smith, David Smith, Michael Schuster, Joe Carney, Clay Sellers, and J.T. Smith. Honorary pallbearers, Malcolm Watkins, and Richard Minter.
