Mary Jane Baier, age 67, of Austin, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at her home.
She was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Perham, to Isidore and Anna Mary (Wensmann) Kolb.
On June 27, 1953, she married Roger Baier. They lived and worked in southeastern Minnesota until moving to Arizona in 1972. They returned to Austin in 1977. She worked as a cook for Austin Public Schools from 1978 to 1997.
She enjoyed playing bingo with friends, playing cards, baking and cooking for her family, playing nickel slot machines, wintering in Arizona and spending time with her children, grandchildren, friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Baier, Austin; daughters and sons-in-law: Judy and Wayne Enright, Austin; Mary Jo and Craig Jones, Austin; Karen Baier, Austin; Linda Baier, Austin; son and daughter-in-law: Chris and Kim Baier, Austin; six grandchildren; brothers, LuVern Kolb, St. Paul; Duane Kolb, Austin; Dennis Kolb, Austin; sisters, Viola Anderson, Austin; Bernice Ritenour, Harrisburg, Va.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, with a 4 p.m. CCW rosary and a 6:30 p.m. wake service and also from 9 to 10 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
Service: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Paul Nelson officiating. Casket bearers will be Chad Enright, Anna Enright, Michael Jones, Jerry Kolb, Kim Downey and Robert Kolb.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery.
