Clem B. was the son of Heinrich Schwabe (1856-1936) and Katherina Josephine Hemesaat Schwabe (1868-1933). He married Edna Elizabeth Knapmeyer on 10/9/1929 at Mother of God Church in Covington,Kentucky. He emigrated to the United States in 1925 with his brother Bernard Schwabe (1900-1938) and his sister Elizabeth Katherina Schwabe Gieske (1898-1981). Clem B. was a long time resident of Ludlow,Kentucky. He had five children:Mary Elizabeth Schwabe Day,Bernard Gilbert Schwabe,Margaret Josephine Schwabe Dupree,Clemens August Schwabe and Joseph Edward Schwabe.
