Mr. Mickler was a native of Wilkinson County and had made his home in Eatonton. He was the son of the late Clayton and Dora Layton Mickler and was preceded in death by a son Joseph Clayton "Clay" Mickler and brother Eugene Thomas "Gene" Mickler.
He is survived by his Madlyn Pittman Mickler; sons William Owen (Jamee) Mickler, Matthew Thomas (Rebecca) Mickler, and David Reid Mickler all of Eatonton; sisters Annette Mickler Rozier and Marion Joyce Mickler both of Milledgeville; brother James Felton (Nancy) Mickler of Dansville; sister in law Patti Glover of Canton; brother in laws Owen (Tina) Pittman and William Pittman all of Milledeville; and a close friend of the family, Pastor, and a true man of God, Rev. Ron Smith.
