HOUSTON - David Wayne Leubert, age 53, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Kingsville, passed away October 30, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital at Texas Medical Center in Houston after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born October 21, 1952 in Kingsville, Texas, to John David 'Buddy" Leubert and Velma Hoepken Leubert. David was an avid outdoorsman.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards and dominoes with friends and family. He was an industrial machinist. David was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, John David 'Buddy" Leubert.
David is survived by his mother, Velma Leubert of Kingsville, Texas; one brother, Douglas (Susan) Leubert of Riviera, Texas; one sister, Dianne (Roy Medina) Leubert of Kingsville, Texas; one nephew, Jason Leubert of Kingsville, Texas; two nieces, Amber (Donnie) Perrigue of Bishop, Texas, and Erin Leubert of Corpus Christi, Texas; two great nieces, Madison and Makenna Perrigue of Bishop, Texas; and his beloved four legged companions, Sandy and Molly.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Friday, November 4, 2005 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel.
Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
