Arnold Karl August Koch was the son of William August Koch and Anna Katherine (Dierks) Koch.

Arnold K Koch, Mayor of Haven Died Monday

Arnold K. Koch, Haven's mayor, died at noon Monday at the Newton Memorial Hospital, Winfield, after several months' illness. He was born Sept. 14, 1908, at Haven and had lived here all his life.

Mr. Koch served as the Mayor of Haven for six terms prior to 1953 and was re-elected again in 1959 and 1961; a total of almost 16 years. He was associated with the Haven State Bank a number of years ago and more recently with Koch Bros. Hardware. He married Frances Moncrief Septemeber 12, 1937 in Winfield.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Haven.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Richard in graduate school at Princeton University; a daughter, Patricia, at the University of Kansas; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Geffert, Haven and Mrs. Harry Meetz, Walton; and a brother Louis, Haven.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ (Congregational) with Revs. A.P. Smith and Phil Chastain, officiating. Burial was in Laurel Cemetery, with the Cantwells in charge.
