SCOTTSBLUFF — A funeral for David A. Keller, 78, of 506 w. 20th St., who died Tuesday in the Scottsbluff hospital, will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. James Lutheran Church here with the Rev. Barklie
Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the church.
Jolliffe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born April 29, 1906, at Underof, Russia. He came to the United States with his family in 1910, to Gering. He married Elizabeth Wamboldt March 7, 1926, at Scottsbluff. They lived and farmed southeast of Gering until moving into Scottsbluff in 1928. They moved to their present home in 1946. He and his brothers owned and operated the Keller Brothers Garage for more than 33 years before he retired in 1971.
Survivors include sons Melvin of Stockton, Calif., and Willard of Pueblo, Colo.; daughters Shirley Schenbeck of Denver and Arline Carleton of Westminster, Colo.; brothers Alex of Scottsbluff, Ben of Bayard and Adam of Englewood, Cal.; sisters Frieda King of Douglas, Wyo., and Irene Kraus of Scottsbluff; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son and a granddaughter.
