DIES OF MONOXIDE
The body of Archie Thomas McCall, 50, Truxton, was found last night at 8 in his parked car off the Kinney Brook Road near Truxton. Coroner George Nevin issued a verdict of suicide by asphyxiation due to monoxide gas.
The body was found by his son-in-law, Francis Crandall of the same address. Mr. McCall had left home at 11 a.m. yesterday and when he did not return last night a search party was started.
He was born March 31, 1903 in Truxton, the son of the late Thomas and Anna Tate McCall. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Ackerman McCall, two daughters, Mrs. Josephine McGuire and Mrs. Gene Crandall and one son, Thomas, all of Truxton, and by the following sisters: Mrs. Mabel Muckey, Cortland, Mrs. Helen Johnson, Cortland, Mrs. Anna Schlenker, Cortland, and Mrs. Jessie Ryan, Norwich, and by three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the home on the Truxton Road Wednesday at 9 a.m. and at St. Patrick's Church in Truxton at 9:30. Interment will be in Truxton cemetery.
Friends may call at the late residence this evening and tomorrow afternoon and evening at their convenience.
