Lakefield Resident Dies in Hospital - The Late Ernst H. Napp
A well known personage, particularly in the Lakefield district, Mr. Ernst Napp, passed away at the Providence Hospital in Lachute last Friday following a short illness.
Mr. Napp was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1887, came to Canada in 1912, and for several years followed his trade as a butter and cheese maker. He was married in Montreal on September 20, 1913, to Miss Olga Evers, of Ratsburg, Germany, and in 1923 purchased a farm at Lakefield which has since been their home. Mrs. Napp passed away in 1942.
A quiet, unassuming person of kindly disposition, Mr. Napp was most industrious, and enjoyed keeping busy. He was a friend to all, and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
