Funeral services were held at Calvary Lutheran Church, Sioux City, for Marx C. Lange, 87. Mr. Lange died Sunday, March 7, 1965, at a nursing home in Sioux City. Burial was Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, Iowa.
Mr. Lange was born December 14, 1877 in Sac county, Iowa. He was married to Mattie C. Greve, who preceded him in death July 23, 1950.
The couple farmed near Lake View, Iowa until his retirement. Mr. Lange was a charter member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Sioux City.
Marx Lange is survived by three sons: Orville of Sioux City, Theodore and Allison, both of Rockwell City; a daughter, Mrs. DeLoss Benson of Sioux City; three brothers: William of Sioux City, August of Storm Lake and Rufus of Fremont, North Dakota.
Fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive.
