A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, at St. John's Catholic Church in Hanover.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, at St. John's Catholic Church. Father David Metz will officiate.
Janet Fritschi will play the organ while the church choir sings "Here I Am Lord", "Angels Among Us", "Ave Maria" and "On Eagles Wings".
The pallbearers will be Lee Bruna, Chad Nieman, Jared Hynek, Cody Krueger, Nick Krueger, Brock Nieman, Rodney Nieman, Corby Truhlicka and Eric Truhlicka.
Marie was born April 23, 1932 on a farm near Marysville, KS, to Frank and Margaret (Cohorst) Sandman.
On November 12, 1952, she married Lester Bruna at Marysville. She was a farm wife and homemaker.
She was a member of Altar Society, Daughters of Isabella, Unique Engineers and Red Hats.
Marie was a quilter and enjoyed sewing, cooking, word search, gardening and flowers. She really loved being around people.
Survivors include her husband, Lester, Hanover; children, Peggy (Jim) Krueger, Abilene, KS, Frank (Denise) Bruna, Bremen, KS, Susan (Terry) Truhlicka, Ellensburg, WA, Kathy (Mike) Nieman, McPherson, KS, Sandra (Dan) Hynek, Olathe, KS, sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Sandmann, Marysville, and Gus Sandman, Blue Rapids, KS; sisters, Caroline (Bruna) Gerstner, Marysville, Rosemary (Harold) Travelute, Hanover, Kathleen Dobrovolny, Blue Rapids, and JoAnn Nider, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant children, Mary Ann and Rodney.
A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary.
