Born in Newburgh, he lived in Evansville most of his life. He and his wife, Julia, lived with his son, Norman, here. He was a member of the St. Lucas Evangelical and Reformed church in Evansville, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Surviving in addition to the son Norman are a niece and a nephew.
Burial Saturday, in the Oak Hill cemetery, at Evansville.
