, 63, of LaPine, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, of heart failure

A memorial service was held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the LaPine Senior Center. A potluck dinner followed.

Mrs. Nute was born February 22, 1942, in Ionia, Michigan to Raymond and Minnia Kobel. She graduated from Oakland High School and Eugene School of Cosmetology in 1987. She married Fred Nute on October 29, 1989, in Yoncalla, Oregon.

She worked as a beautician and the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, quilting and crafts.

Survivors include her husband; 3 sons Earnest Cox of Vacaville, California, Mickie Cox of Olympia, Washington, and Chad Cox of Korea; 6 daughters Lucy Scott of Covina, California, Adria Walter of Port Orchard, Washington, Sherri Haga of Elymira, Washington, Holly Thomas of Alaska, Linda Patten and Charlene Thomas both of La Pine; step-mother Helen Belcher, East Tawas, Michigan; five brothers Jack, Dennis, Norman, Robert and Buck Kobel; three sisters Joanne Biggers, Theresa Cunningham, and Leann Kobel; 22 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, her parents and three brothers.

Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice of one's choice.
Autumn Funerals of Bend were in charge of the arrangements.

Anna May Helen Kobel-Belcher passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at the age of 87.
She was born April 12, 1924 in Tawas City to Herbert Alonzo Farrand and Gertrude May Lake. After graduating from Tawas High School, Anna moved to California where she worked for the railroad handing up train orders.
Anna also participated in the World War II efforts as a Rosie the Riveter. Her stories and memorabilia are archived at the World War II Home Front National Historical Park museum collection.
Anna enjoyed the love of the outdoors, picnicking, berry picking and fishing were among her favorites.
Anna was preceded in death by husbands Raymond Marquette Kobel and Howard Belcher.
Anna had six children, Dennis Wayne Kobel, Norman Sweed Kobel, Robert Lewis Kobel, Jo Ann Biggers, Lea Ann Candler and Teresa May Cunningham; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She also had the privilege of raising six stepchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Community of Christ Church in Tawas City on April 15 at 11 a.m.
