Anton C. Petersen, 92, 4221 Morningside Ave., died Saturday at a Norfolk, Neb. Hospital after a two-week illness. He had been visiting in Norfolk for about two months.
Mr. Petersen was born in Dannebrog, Neb., Aug, 15, 1874, and spent most of his youth there. He graduated from a business college near Grand Island, Neb., worked in Waterloo, Iowa for a short time, and then moved to Norfolk.
He married Evalina Schmideberg, Oct., 1916, in Norfolk. Shortly after marriage they moved to Sioux City, where he was laundry foreman for the old Seymore Laundry Co. for 40 years.
Mr. Petersen was a member of the Morningside Lutheran Church.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Erbin (Wilhelmine) Klentz of Norfolk; a brother, Martin of Grand Rapids, Mich.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
The body is at the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.
