Martin Kulas, 84, 511 Wall St., died Friday at Community Memorial Hospital after an illness of a month.
He was born in Poland Nov. 11, 1377, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Kulas and had been a resident of the city 70 years. He owned and operated a meat market at 403 Mankato Ave., retiring eight years ago. He married Pauline Eichman and she died March 28, 1944.
Survivors are: A son, Floyd, Winona; one grandchild; six step-grandchildren, and two sisters, Sister Anatolia, Sisters of St. Joseph, Iron Mountain, Mich., and Mrs. John (Anna) Heftman, Winona.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. at Watkowski Funeral Home and at 9 at St. Stanislaus Church, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. N. F. Grulkowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Rosary will be said at 7:30.
