Earnest Henry Kraft was born Apr 15, 1898 in Dexter Twp, the son of Albert and Margaret Kraft. He farmed in the Dexter area for many years, was in the grocery business in Dexter seven years and in the real estate business in Austin.
He married Olga Gomer Grundmeier, Jan 6, 1946 in Dexter, and the past 15 years resided at 710 4th Ave. NE, Austin.
He died Nov. 9, 1968 at St. Olaf Hospital of a heart attack at the age of 70. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Rev. Harvey Johnson officiating. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, Elkton with the Worlein Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Donald of Austin, eight grandchildren, Austin; two brothers, William of Dexter, Harry of Minneapolis; six sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gildemeister, Painesville, MN, Mrs. Laura Moore, Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Harold (Tillie) Lindgren Azusa, Calif., Mrs. Herbert (Lydia) Wagner, Minneapolis, Mrs. Emma Wohlers, Dexter, Mrs. Lester (Lavina) Shultis, Hayward, Wisconsin.
