Frederick Kreiser married Eva Behney and purchased 500 acres of land in Union Twp., Lancaster County (now Lebanon County) near Moonshine Church. His youngest son Jacob Kreiser was born (14 October 1797) in East Hanover Twp. Dauphin County (now Lebanon) and his wife Elisabeth Dieben (born 2 June 1800) in Bethel Twp. Lancaster County, Pa. (now Lebanon County).
Jacob married Elisabeth Dieben on 7 December 1820 according to Zion Lutheran Church of Jonestown, Lebanon County, Pa.
So Jacob and Elisabeth Kreiser had several children but the one of importance is Elisabeth Kreiser born 2 June 1831 as recorded by Sattazahn's Lutheran Church in Union Twp., Lebanon County. The Kreiser's most likely lived on the farm of Frederick Kreiser who inherited the land from his father Elias near Moonshine Church in Union Twp., Lebanon County.
Now for the speculation. How did Elisabeth Kreiser from Union Twp., Lebanon County meet John Gahres, our great, great, great grandfather from Hegins Twp./Valley, Schuylkill County? I suspect it was a family gathering. Or the other possibility was John was working with the Kreisers on the Union Canal operations of coal or lumber. Regardless, they somehow got connected and married around 1856. I can't find the exact church record but it would either be Sattazahn's or Zion Lutheran Church or a pastor's record.
In 1870 the family lived in Hegins Twp. with their children Joel 1856, Lovina 1857, John H. 1859, Elias 1862, William 1864, Daniel 1867, Maryalice 1869.
