Paul C. Younger, 72, Salina, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at Salina Regional Health Center. Mr. Younger was born March 12, 1926, at Gorham and moved to Salina in 1952 from Hoisington.

He had worked in construction and in maintenance at the former St. John's Hospital for more than 17 years. He was was a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and served as a scout master for Boy Scout Troop No. 3 of Salina. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member and past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1432, both of Salina.

Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyne of the home; a son, Coby of Salina; two daughters, Paula Harrelson of New Orleans and Marcy Arnold of Salina; three brothers, Leonard of Wichita, Albert of Hoisington and Jerome of Emporia; three sisters, Martina Luebbers of Claflin, Mary Ann Funk of Glatia and Betty Shaver of Royce City, Texas; and a granddaughter.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401, the Rev. David Weible officiating. Private inurnment will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salina Public Library. There will be no visitation.
