LOGAN: Ruth Ann Walz, 66, of Logan, Ohio, went home with her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2013, at the Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio.

Ruth Ann was born October 13, 1946, in Highland County, Ohio. She graduated from Buford High School, received Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior in November of 1972, was the wife of a pastor for 42 years, helped establish the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Logan, taught Sunday School, and was affectionately involved in all aspects of the church.

Surviving are her husband, Pastor Tom Walz who would have been married for 49 years on October 17, 2013; son, Pastor James (Renee) Walz of Logan; daughter, Julia (Pasto Jeremy) Griffith of Washington Court House, Ohio; son, Pastor John C. (Alisha) Walz, Missionaries in China; grandchildren, Adam Walz, Caleb Walz, Abigail Walz, Jillian Griffith, Jenna Griffith, Jana Griffith, and Jared Griffith; mother, Maxine G. Grisham of Sardinia, Ohio; brothers, Eugene Grisham of Hillsboro, Ohio and John (Judy) Grisham of Peebles, Ohio; sister, Christine (Bill) Williams of Sardinia, Ohio; and all of her church family.

Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her father, Paul S. Grisham; and sister-in-law, Eunice Grisham.

Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 15024 State Route 328, Logan, Ohio with Dr. Dan Lamb officiating.

Calling hours will be observed Thursday 2 to 7 p.m. at the church. Graveside services will be Friday, October 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Sardinia Cemetery in Sardinia, Ohio.

Arrangements are by Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio.
