Elo A. Leck, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003. He was born on February 20, 1915, in Shiner to the late Dick and Emily Winkler Leck. Elo married Emma Dornak on Sept. 7, 1939. He worked at the Cotton Mill, City of Cuero and Gulf Coast Wood Products. He was a gifted antiques repairman, a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Elo is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Emma Leck; a son and daughter-in-law, Gus and Connie Adickes Leck of Cuero; grandsons, Michael Leck of Cuero, Kevin Leck of Houston, and Darren Leck of New Braunfels; granddaughter, Patty May of Cuero; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Elsia Flessner, Louisa Flessner, Annie Rippen, Emma Jarish, and Adela Gawlik; and brothers, Edmund Leck, Rudy Leck, Alvin Leck, Henry Leck, and Willie Leck.

Visitation was held Thursday, Oct. 23 at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary was also held Thursday. Funeral services were held Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Rev. Kirby Hlavaty officiated.

Burial was at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of Freund Funeral Home, Cuero, 361-275-2343.

Pallbearers: Michael Leck, Kevin Leck, Darren Leck, Shawn Rust, Rudy Michalek, Ronnie Leck, and Sammy Leck.
