Jerry Lynn Spencer, age 66 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.

The son of John Duane and Hazel Louise (Sloan) Spencer was born March 30, 1947 in Harrison, Arkansas.

Jerry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army. Upon completion of his service with the Marine Corp he transferred to the Army, retiring from the Army on March 13, 2007.

He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Bravo Company 5th Tank Battalion in Vietnam, Marine Corp Tankers Association, the National Rifle Association and Jasper Assembly of God Church.

He had lived most of his life in Newton County.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sharon Spencer on March 12, 2013.

Survivors are three sons, Jerry M. "J.J." Spencer and wife, Shonti of Rogersville, Missouri, John Spencer and wife, Donna of Harrison, Arkansas and Stephen Spencer and wife, Joellene of Jasper, Arkansas; one daughter, Heather Little and husband, Darryl of Jasper; one brother, Donald Spencer of Jasper, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Christopher Spencer, Gregory Spencer, Brooklyn Collins, Caitlyn Spencer, Hunter Spencer, Shelby Myers, Loyd Little and Brittanny Little.

Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral Service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Jasper Assembly of God Church.

Burial will follow in the Jasper Cemetery.
