On April 14, 1918, a daughter, Christine was born to James and Anna (Dynda) Kalina of Lake Mary Township where she was raised and attended rural school. Christine and Roy Dvorsak were united in marriage on September 28 1936 in Alexandria. The couple lived on the Dvorsak family farm south of Lake Ida until 1939 when they moved into Lowry where they operated a gas station. They later began operation of a wholesale fishing tackle business. Christine and Roy moved into Alexandria in 1966 and continued in the fishing tackle business until 1985. Christine enjoyed a variety of interests, including gardening, embroidery work and playing cards. Roy and Christine became residents of the Knute Nelson Retirement Home in March of 1993. Roy died on May 5, 1994 and Christine passed away on October 8, 1994. She was 76 years of age. Christine is survived by her son Dale and wife Sandy Dvorsak of Alexandria; a daughter Annette Brosh of Lowry; six grandchildren: David Brosh of Alexandria; Linda and Husband LeDell Bruss of Sartell; Jack and Mark Brosh of Zimmerman; and Evan and Elyse Dvorsak of Alexandria. Funeral services were held on October 11, 1994 from the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Russ Osterberg officiating. Helen Johnsrud served as soloist and Marlene Lentz was the organist. Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery with LeDell Bruss, Jack Brosh, David Brosh and Mark Brosh acting as pallbearers. Christine's first cousins were named honorary pallbearers. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
