In the mid 1800's Francis and Barbara (Waltzer) came to America with the help of her brother, Martin Waltzer,who was a banker in Cleveland,OH.They settled in Cleveland,Carroll Co.,OH. for a time then moved to the new ttown of Campbellsport,Fond du Lac Co.,WI.,which was just starting to settle. They were amoung the first families to help settle the community.
One of the reasons why they came to America was because he was to be drafted into the service by the Kaiser for his cousin, the Tzar (Czar0 of Russia.He had payed some one else to take his place,which was allowed by the government at that time.They are the parents of ten children born either in Rose,Carroll Co.,OH or Campbellsport,Fond du Lac Co.,WI.:
