SANDY A GRIES

Sandy A Gries, age 40, went to her eternal resting place on March 10, 2004 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sandy was born on Sept. 5, 1963, in Sheboygan, daughter of Roger and Audrey Koeser Zorn. Raised in the city of Kiel, Sandy attended Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School and was a 1981 graduate of Kiel High School. Sandy started working as an Engineering Technician in 1981 at Stoelting Bros., Kiel, until December of 2003.
Sandy married her high school sweetheart, Dennis Gries on April 9, 1983, at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. They have four wonderful sons; Tony, 20, Chris, 18, Ben, 15, and Brandon, 11. Sandy's favorite past-times were watching her children's sporting events, donuts with her mother and sister, Jeanne on Saturday mornings; and sitting on her deck reading a good book.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Dennis, and four sons, Tony and Chris, both attended Marquette University, Milwaukee, Ben a freshman at Kiel High School and Brandon, a sixth grader at Kiel Middle School. She is further survived by her parents, Audrey and Roger Zorn of Kiel; three brothers, Cal (Sharon) Zorn of Kiel, Todd (Rachelle) Zorn of New Berlin, and Kenny (Bonnie) Zorn of Kiel; one sister, Jeanne (Ken) Heberlein of Kiel; her mother-and father-in-law, Dorothy and Ralph Gries of Kiel; nieces, nephews, sisters- and brothers-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ludwina and Raymond Zorn, Katherine and Louis Koeser; two uncles, Louis Koeser Jr. and Jerry Zorn, and close friends, Keith Kienbaum, Cory Schmidt and Andrew Voland.
Sandy would want everyone to remember her for her unbelievable strength, faith and love for her family. Sandy became ill with brain cancer in August of 2002. Her motto during her entire bout with cancer was; no crying, no tears, no feeling sorry for I am not afraid. Sandy will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
Funeral Mass will be held at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, on Saturday, March 13 with the Rev. Loren Nys SDS officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
