Dennis L. Michalek, age 59 of Perry, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Stoneleigh Residence in Lansing.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Morrice with Rev. Monsignor George Michalek officiating. Family will greet friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home in Perry. Burial will take place in Bethany Cemetery in Morrice.

Dennis was born on March 11, 1954 in Lansing, the son of John and Charlene (Gulick) Michalek. He was a graduate of Perry High School. Dennis was a Plumber and Pipe Fitter and belonged to Local 333. He also was a Beekeeper for many years,loved to farm and he was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.

He is survived by three children; Philip Michalek of Perry, Rebecca (Jason) Schlee of Charlotte and Jayne (James) Ashley of CT, grandchildren; Alleigh, Nicholas and Andrew Michalek and Jayce and Raelynn Schlee and one sister, Sue (Chris) Martin of Ithaca.
