Deborah Joann Hoscheid was born on August 26, 1947, to Doroteo and Mary (Lucero) Bumanglag in Salt Lake City, UT. She was raised in San Jose, CA and graduated high school there before moving to Anchorage, AK. While in Anchorage Deborah owned a restaurant next to Merrill Field, it is also in Alaska where she met her husband John Hoscheid. John and Deborah married on September 9th 1989. The couple lived in many different places, they moved to Columbia, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Egypt and then to Nigeria. They then ended up in Baudette, MN were Deborah worked at the Hospital before her retirement.
Deborah had many passions in her life; she loved golfing and did so in every country that she lived in. She was also the ladies champion for a couple of years at Oak Harbor Golf Course. Deborah enjoyed hockey, gardening, her flowers; she was a gourmet cook, enjoyed her time spent at the cabin in Carp and was very entertaining while fishing. Most of all Deborah loved her family and friends. Family was important to Deborah and she cherished their time spent together. During their time in Baudette, MN John and Deborah became members at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in law, Wesley Hoscheid.
She is survived by her husband, John; mother-in-law, Lucille Hoscheid, sister-in-laws Ann Lefor and her husband Terry Lefor, Patty Zulkosky, step-father, Jozsef Vegh, brother, Sunday Bumanglag, and his wife, Cecilia; sister, Laling Maggerise and her husband Samuel; sister Venus Miller and her husband Michael; and sister Serina Basiglio and her husband Adrian, also numerous nieces and nephews and even a grand-nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Deborah Joann Hoscheid of Baudette, MN will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Baudette, MN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 5-7PM at Helgeson Funeral Home in Baudette, MN and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Elm Park Cemetery in Baudette, MN.
Deborah passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at LakeWood Health Center at the age of 66.
