Gordon "Flash" Wilson, 88, of Irvine, passed away Sat. Oct. 19th 2013 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, following a short illness. Mr. Wilson was a native of Estill County, born April 5th, 1925, a son of the late J. Carl and Anna Winn Wilson. He was a naval veteran of WWII, and a retired employee of the Lexington-Bluegrass Army Depot. He was a member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Lucy Burnett Wilson, and a brother Edward E. Wilson. Survivors include his wife Sylvia Jane Wilson of Irvine; two sons Gordon E. Wilson (Pat) of Paris and William Shelby Wilson (Laraine) of Richmond; a sister Janet Wilson Jones of Clermont FL; two grandchildren G. David Wilson (Sami) of Paris and Laura Camille Baker (Lee) of Richmond; a step grandchild Jill Arvin Fulks (Ray); a great grandchild Samuel Speakes Wilson of Paris; a step great-grandchild Emilee James Fulks of Richmond; three step daughters Angie Flynn, Julie Richardson, and Becky Fowler all of Irvine; step grandchildren Ryan McQueen, Miranda McQueen, Trent, Tiana and Tate Richardson, and Seth Fowler of Irvine; four step great grandchildren Zoey and Zaniel McQueen, Adien Keeny and Kristopher McQueen.

Services at Lewis Funeral Home 224 Main St, Irvine, Ky with Bro. Tony White and Bro. Greg McClellan officiating. Burial in the West Irvine Cemetery.
