Marjorie E. Capobianco, 71, of Bangor, died Monday, October 2, 2006, at St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. Born in Bangor, Pennsylvania, on October 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John and Marjorie (Oaten) Owens. She and her husband, Alfred A. Capobianco, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 2. Marge was presently employed as a court officer for the Honorable Judge Emil Giordano, Northampton County Court of Common Pleas. She was employed by the Bangor Area School District as a secretary from 1975 until retiring in 1996. She was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1952. Marge was a life member of First United Methodist Church, Bangor, where she was very active in all facets of the church. She was Director of Adult Education for the Bangor/Pen Argyl Adult Education for over 20 years and taught sewing classes in addition to her administrative duties. She served as Judge of Elections for 38 years for the Fourth Ward in the Borough of Bangor. Marge was active in the Republican Party all of her adult life and participated as a volunteer in many political campaigns. She was also active as a volunteer at the State Theater, Easton, and a founding member of the Saint Davids Welsh Society of the Slate Belt. Survivors: Husband; two daughters, Karen P. Kopsick and her husband Steven of Wallingford, Delaware County, Ann C. Dally and her husband State Representative Craig A. of Bushkill Township; two sons, Alfred P. Capobianco and his wife Maria J. of Vienna, Virginia, John C. Capobianco and his wife Andrea of Nazareth; 10 grandchildren who were the passion of her life, Jane and Jonathan Kopsick, Sarah and Alison Dally, Julia, Matthew and Anna Capobianco, John, Caterina and Joseph Capobianco; two sisters, Jeanette E. Feiser and her husband Charles of Souderton, Carol O. Shaplin of Washington Township; many nieces and nephews.
