KERRVILLE - Mr. George Waymond McBroom, 54, of Kerrville, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in a Kerrville nursing center.
Mr. McBroom, a longtime resident of Kerrville, was born April 18, 1947, in Kimball County, to George LeRoy McBroom and Nina Mae Sutton McBroom.
George was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and was a retired fireman with the Kerrville Fire Department. He was a member of Country Community Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mae Schonberg of Kerrville; one daughter, Kara McBroom of Fredericksburg; one son, George Wayne McBroom of Bandera; sister, Charlotte Foster and husband, Harold, of Rosenberg; brother, Donald McBroom and wife, Ann, of Canyon Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, at Grimes Funeral Chapels, with Pastor David Dodge officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
