James Ernest "Jimmy" Page, 61 year old Vinita resident, died Tuesday morning August 11, 2009 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Jimmy was born March 1, 1948 in Vinita to William Ernest and Francis Virginia (Bell) Page. He was a 1966 graduate of Vinita High School. Jimmy was retired from the United States Air Force, serving his country for 23 years and 10 months, before retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1988. After his retirement from the service he worked at Eastern State Hospital and currently the Oklahoma Forensic Center in Vinita, as a Primary Care Aid. Jimmy was avid Vinita High School sports fan, and was a fixture at most of their games. He was baptized at the Trinity Baptist Church in Vinita. The family includes: his son, William B. Page of Oklahoma City, a brother, Ronnie Page and wife Debbie of Vinita, a sister, Virginia Long of Ketchum, nephews and niece, Bobby Long, Lauricia "Sissy" McGuire, Chris Page, John and Matt Koesler, great-nephews, Cody McGuire, Casey McGuire, Nolan Long, Ty and Casey Smith; numerous other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor Henry "Skip" McClain officiating.
