Regimental Number 39658. Killed in action 15 Aug 1917.

Son of David Barclay Beedie and Helen Robert. Husband of Jemima Mitchell "Mina" Steele, who he married in 1900. Father of Charles Malcolm Campbell Beedie, Alfred James Beedie, Elizabeth Beedie, and William Hood Beedie.

His widow died a month after him at the Brechin Infirmary (disease of the knee joint & wrist and heart failure). Their four children were eventually placed into the care of Quarrier's Orphan Homes of Scotland and sent to Canada as British Home Children.

Charles' name also appears on a monument with his wife at Brechin Cemetery in Brechin, Angus, Scotland.
